Release notes: First release maintained by Nous Research. Code is the plugins/memory/byterover provider from hermes-agent@2fa2f42d412a, verbatim; this is the pin the Hermes plugin catalog lists as byterover.

No pyproject.toml: byterover has no Python dependencies, and an empty one made Hermes ask for dependency consent, which unattended migrations (agent start, gateway) cannot give.
Synced with every core fix since the September handoff copy.
In-tree tests ported to tests/; CI runs them on Linux, macOS and Windows against hermes-agent main.
Existing memory.provider: byterover users keep their config and data; once core drops its bundled copy, hermes update installs this plugin from the catalog automatically.
