• Update discovery across the Mac app, menubar, and CLI. Packaged releases check public release metadata once a day. The main window shows an update notice, and the menubar shows a blue marker and an Update Available action. Both open release notes and copyable installation instructions. The app and CLI share the automatic-check preference and cache. (#87)
• Explicit CLI update checks. Run baseten-switch update check, add --refresh to check immediately, or add --json for machine-readable output. Use baseten-switch update automatic on|off to control automatic checks. Interactive status, up, and doctor commands can show an update hint while piped output stays unchanged. (#87)
• Larger Claude Auto classification limit. Raises the system-text limit from 128 KiB to 256 KiB. (#85)
• API key entry fix. Pressing Enter now saves an API key entered interactively. (#84)

brew update && brew upgrade baseten-switch

Finish active coding requests, then run baseten-switch up to adopt the new CLI and Mac app. This can interrupt active sessions.

Install this release once to enable discovery of subsequent releases. Checks do not install software or restart running components. Discovery confirms the public Homebrew version against its matching published GitHub release and requires no GitHub or Baseten credentials.

The download includes the universal macOS CLI and Mac app. The Mac app is ad-hoc signed and is not Apple-notarized. Homebrew remains the supported public installation channel.
